Our correspondent Fran details her world of Blake's 7 Fandom - to read Fran's previous column click HERE.

I had an interesting experience at work this month. I was stacking books in the library, when one of my favourite Blake stars walked in! <g>. I won't tell you who it was, but suffice it to say that he's the best baddie in the series and I usually refer to him as Sergeant Spunky! <g>. Anyway, he recognised me from a convention a couple of months back where I'd kept him amused by knocking on his room door showing him my fanfic! <g> He took it in good part, and when he saw me in the library he used some very naughty language <LOL>and spat at me! <g>. To me, that's what a real actor should be all about - it's been over twenty years since he was in Blake, yet as soon as he saw a real fan like me he went straight back into character! <g>

Disturbing news this week though of the plans to make a new mini-series based on Blake's 7. I don't care what anyone says, I for one will not be a part of this! How dare they make a new series, knowing full well it will contradict events in my fanfic series where Avon and Vila set up together on Gambit? Do I want to accept this false Blake or the Blake that I know is real? That isn't even a question worth answering as far as I'm concerned! Parts of my original fanfic "Avon and Vila Go To Gambit" will be available to download here very shortly, but remember, copyright is mine so please ask permission before downloading.

Click the file to view one of my new illustrations based on my post-season four fanfic, "Avon and Vila Go To Gambit", which you can download for personal use, but copyright is mine so please ask permission before reproducing.

Anyway, to finish off I'd like to present you with some of my new filk. I'm sure even the newbies know it by now <g> - it's where fans make songs based on the series. Though as evidenced here, they often go a lot deeper than what was on screen IMO. Remember, this filk is copyrighted, you can download it for personal use, but ask permission before reproduction.

Avon's Gun

By Fran Ghurl - Liberator's Liberators Productions, 2003.

(To the tune of "Tasty", the Bran Flakes Theme)

Avon is a powerful man,
he strides on the bridge with his gun.
He strides on manly,
ever so strong,
and this is what he always does.

I would like to be the socket for Avon's gun,
and feel his manly power,
we would then make love
and I would feel his strong manliness within my loins, caressing and fondling and heightening my pleasure,
on Thursdays.

Tarrant is quite a masculine type too,
but only Avon will do,
Tarrant isn't quite the man
that Avon is,
though he is quite a good pilot I suppose.
